“The children are currently living with my wife and seem to be getting along well,” Wang shared, according to Thanh Nien Newspaper.

“As a father, I am always concerned about the physical and mental health of my children, which is why I have decided to stay by their side. This is an incredibly difficult time, but I will try my best to overcome it.”

The businessman expressed his hope that his children could return to a normal life soon. He emphasized that although the children lost their biological mother, their stepmother has been caring for them very well.

“I just hope that the conflicts between the adults will not affect the innocent world of the children,” he said.

Last month, Taiwanese media reported that Wang and Hsu’s children, 11-year-old Wang Hsi Yueh and nine-year-old Wang Hsi Lin, were only taken to the hospital by their father after he visited them, even though they had been living with Hsu’s mother Huang Chun Mei. This sparked backlash against Huang and Hsu’s younger sister, Taiwanese host Dee Hsu, with critics accusing them of neglecting the children’s worsening health.

India Times later revealed that a nurse had leaked a message stating the children received 18 hours of intravenous treatment for their fevers and severe coughs. Surveillance footage from the hospital also showed Wang at his children’s bedside for over 18 hours, carefully monitoring their symptoms and even bringing in a humidifier at 3 a.m. to help ease their discomfort.

A few days later, Wang Hsi Lin was seen visiting the home of Taiwanese TV host Blackie Chen and his wife, singer Christine Fan, where he was observed playing with their twin children. Meanwhile, Wang Hsi Yueh was spotted at a temple in Taiwan with her father and stepmother Mandy Ma.

Hsu, known for her roles in popular dramas such as “Meteor Garden,” “Mars,” and “Summer’s Desire,” passed away at the age of 49 in Japan from complications to pneumonia, her family announced on Feb. 3.

She and Wang, 44, married in 2011 and divorced in 2021, citing “irreconcilable differences.” After the divorce, Hsu reunited with her former boyfriend, 55-year-old South Korean musician DJ Koo, and they remarried in February 2022.

Wang later moved on, marrying Ma, a 26-year-old businesswoman and online influencer, in May 2024.
