Mumbai, March 10 (IANS). Actor-filmmaker Kunal Khemu received the Best Direction Debut Award for 'Madgaon Express' in the 25th season of IIFA. The actor said that the award is not only of him but of all those who believed and encouraged him.
Actor Kunal, who often shared the best posts on social media, shared several pictures with the award on Instagram. With the post, the actor wrote in the caption, “Ila, IIFA! I am still debuting. Thank you very much for IIFA for the best direction debut for Madgaon Express. The award is for all those who believed in me and encouraged me. Thank you all for giving so much love to the film. “
Thanking the team, he further wrote, “Thank you for the entire team for relying on me as a script writer and director and supporting my vision. Thanks to every star of the film. You are incredible and you have played your characters in a great way. All my technicians trusted me and helped me to play my vision on screen. “
Khemu thanked his family for becoming a cheerleader and support system. Along with this, he thanked all the creators on social media and YouTube for appreciating the film. Khemu also thanked the media for covering the film and giving it love and appreciation.
He further wrote, “I also accept the reactions and creative criticisms given by you and promise to work more hard in future. Thanks to the audience for love that makes films and filmmakers special.”
Kunal's sister -in -law and actress Kareena Kapoor Khan congratulated her and wrote, “Happy ho … you are also amazing.”
'Madgaon Express' was released in the year 2024. Along with writing the story of dark comedy, it is also directed by Kunal Khemu. The film stars Divyendu, Prateek Gandhi, Avinash Tiwari, Nora Fatehi, Upendra Limaye and Chhaya Kadam in important roles.
