
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], March 10 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Monday reaffirmed the state government's commitment to development and law and orderFollowing the cabinet meeting, Pathak emphasised that the government's priority is to ensure the state's progress while maintaining law and order."The Uttar Pradesh government is working for the development of the state with law and order as the priority," Pathak said.Given the state's size and population, the Uttar Pradesh government's commitment to law and order is also crucial.Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Minister Anil Rajbhar said that a discussion was held on buying wheat at a new Minimum Support Price (MSP)."A detailed discussion was held on buying wheat from farmers at a new MSP of Rs 2425, on ensuring that money reaches farmers' accounts on time and the huge success of Mahakumbh," Rajbhar said.State Minister Sanjay Kumar Nishad said that decisions regarding many things, such as Ballia Medical College, were taken. "Orders have been issued for the betterment of farmers," he said.Uttar Pradesh Minister Ashish Patel said, "Over 15 decisions have been taken in the meeting, including some decisions regarding Noida and the medical college in Ballia."Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the progress of Major Dhyanchand Sports University's construction on Sunday and held a meeting to assess the ongoing infrastructure projects in the city.The Chief Minister stated that the sports university being established in Meerut will play a significant role in advancing sports activities across Uttar Pradesh.Emphasising Meerut's rapid development, CM Yogi credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership for enhancing the city's connectivity over the past decade.Addressing the media, CM Yogi said, "Meerut is a key city in Uttar Pradesh, and in the last 10 years, it has achieved the best connectivity in the country. India's first rapid rail service has begun between Delhi and Meerut, while the city already benefits from a 12-lane expressway. The Ganga Expressway, linking Meerut to Lucknow and Prayagraj, is in its final stages, and this year's budget has allocated an extension of the expressway to Haridwar."Highlighting the government's focus on sports infrastructure, CM Yogi noted that Meerut is home to the state's first sports university, named after hockey legend Major Dhyanchand."I visited the upcoming sports university site today. This institution will play a crucial role in advancing sports activities in Meerut, western Uttar Pradesh, and the state as a whole," said CM Yogi. (ANI)
