The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started the application process for recruitment to the post of Assistant Commandant in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). Interested candidates for these posts can apply on or before 25 March by visiting the official website of UPSC upsconline.gov.in. The application started on March 5.

Through this recruitment process, a total of 357 posts of Assistant Commandant will be filled in the Central Armed Police Forces. These include 24 posts in BSF, 204 in CRPF, 92 in CISF, 4 in ITBP, and 33 posts in SSB. Let us know who can apply for these posts and how the selection will be done.

Candidates applying for Assistant Commandant posts should have a graduation degree from any recognized university. Candidates of graduated last year can also apply. This means that the candidate should not have been born before 2nd August 2000 and after 2nd August 2005. At the same time, reserved category candidates have also been given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per the government rules.

UPSC CAPF 2025 Selection Process: How will the selection be done?

The applicants will be selected through written examination etc. The written examination is scheduled for 3 August 2025. There will be two papers in the exam. Paper 1 will be from 10 am to 12 noon and Paper 2 will be from 2 pm to 5 pm. The first paper will be on general ability and intelligence and will be of 250 marks. The questions in this paper will be objective type. At the same time, Paper 2 will be on general studies, essays, and comprehension and will be of 200 marks. After the written examination, the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Interview, and Medical Examination will be conducted.
