For the event, Shu Qi wore a two-piece dress with sheer fabric that accentuated her toned figure. Her flowing black hair, black sunglasses, and bold earrings completed the look.
Under her Instagram post featuring photos from the event, many fans praised the actress’ appearance.
“Still young and beautiful,” one Instagram user wrote.
“You look wonderful Shu Qi,” commented another.
Born Lin Li Hui, 49-year-old Shu Qi began her entertainment career as a teenager, first appearing in softcore adult films. By the mid-1990s, she gained recognition from prominent directors in Hong Kong and Taiwan, rising to stardom with notable roles in “Viva Erotica” and “Bishonen.”
Her international acclaim grew with key roles in “The Transporter” and “So Close” in 2002, “Three Times” in 2005, “My Wife Is a Gangster 3” in 2006, and “Love” in 2012.
In 2023, Shu Qi served as a jury member at the Venice International Film Festival’s main competition. Her participation on juries at prestigious European film festivals, including Berlin in 2008 and Cannes in 2009, places her alongside a select group of female artists of Chinese descent, such as Gong Li and Maggie Cheung, who have held similar positions.
