Since its inception on November 8, 2020, under the UDAN scheme, Darbhanga Airport has steadily expanded its operations. Previously, only one Indigo flight operated on the Darbhanga-Hyderabad route daily. As of Tuesday, SpiceJet has introduced an additional service on this route.
Flight services faced disruptions from January 29 but gradually resumed in February as weather conditions improved. With this steady growth, the airport’s flight operations are increasing, bringing convenience to passengers traveling to and from the Mithila region and Nepal.
Optimism Among PassengersPassengers have expressed enthusiasm about the expanded services. Shambhunath Jha, a resident of Bela, emphasized that with proper management and resource allocation, the airport can generate significant revenue while enhancing convenience for travelers.
