David and Matt were in fine form, giving Lorraine a run for her money with their characteristic playful interruptions. They even engaged in a game with Lorraine to test how well they knew each other, but hilarity ensued when they couldn't guess each other's "favourite song", reports .

Lorraine didn't hold back, exclaiming: "This is rubbish," and scolded David for not taking the game show seriously, saying: "This is supposed to be an ITV game show and you're not playing by the rules."

Despite the mock-serious tone, the banter between them carried on, with Matt cheekily inviting the new grandmother to guest star on their podcast.

During a light-hearted exchange, Matt popped the question: "Please come on our podcast?" to which an excited Lorraine responded: "I would love to come on your podcast, I really would actually."

However, she quickly followed up with a cautious inquiry: "I don't know, are you allowed to transmit anything so we wouldn't get taken off for anything like that?" to which Matt reassured her: "No, I think you can go rogue," but it was David's cheeky remark that caught her off guard as he quipped: "I think we've got past that. We've all been cancelled at some point. They can't do it again."

Lorraine couldn't hide her surprise and let out a shriek before trying to move on, saying: "Making a scene with Matt Lucas and David Walliams podcast is out now."

Back in November 2022, David confirmed he was stepping down from his role as a BGT judge after a transcript of comments he'd made during a break were made public.

In a statement issued before his exit, he said: "I would like to apologise to the people I made disrespectful comments about during breaks in filming for Britain's Got Talent in 2020.

"These were private conversations and - like most conversations with friends - were never intended to be shared. Nevertheless, I am sorry."

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1, from 9am.
