The new details give us a clearer idea about the next premium phone and its possible price tag
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was recently introduced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 and is expected to hit global markets in April this year. A tipster has now revealed the Galaxy S25 Edge expected price, dimensions, and the display size of the new model. In comparison to the Galaxy S25+, launched in January 2025, the S25 Edge is likely to feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for high-end performance but the slim profile could come at the cost of a slightly smaller battery.
According to tipster Ice Universe on X, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be priced similarly to the Galaxy S25+ model. If the tipster’s claims are accurate, the Galaxy S25 Edge could carry a price tag of approximately $999 (Rs 87,150 approx). Going by these numbers, you can expect the Galaxy S25 Edge price in India to be just over Rs 99,999 that you pay for the Galaxy S25+ model in the country.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to have a 6.65-inch screen, very close to the 6.7-inch display on the Galaxy S25+ variant, according to the tipster. However, Ice Universe claims that the next Galaxy S25 Edge model would have thinner bezels, similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra model.
The tipster also shared the dimensions about the Galaxy S25 Edge which gives us more insights into its look and feel. The handset is expected to come with 5.84 mm in thickness, making it 1.46 mm thicker than the Galaxy S25+ model. However, the S25 Edge is likely to weigh around 162 grams, making it much lighter than the 195 grams of Galaxy S25+.
This drastic change also means the Galaxy S25 Edge is likely to house a smaller battery compared to the Plus model. Additionally, it is expected to feature a dual-camera setup on the rear instead of the triple-camera configuration seen in the S25+.
It is anticipated that the Galaxy S25 Edge would have the same specifications as the Galaxy S25+, with the exception of the battery and rear cameras. These include a specially designed Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for the Galaxy and 12GB of RAM.
The durability of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will not be impacted by its thin design, according to Annika Bizon, Samsung MX VP of Product and Marketing for the UK, who recently told TechRadar. Although other reports indicate that the device would include a ceramic substance on the rear panel instead of glass, the executive did not provide any further insights regarding how the company will ensure the device remains robust.
