As the festival of colors Holi approaches, students and teachers are waiting for the Holi holidays. This year Holi will be celebrated on 14 March 2025 and many states have announced school holidays for this. Especially in states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Delhi, 2 to 3 days holiday has been declared, so that the students can enjoy the festival to the fullest. In some states, the holidays are also likely to extend till Sunday. Let us know till when the schools will remain closed in your state.

Longest holiday in Uttar Pradesh!

The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has announced a three-day holiday. There will be a holiday on 13, 14 and 15 March in government and private schools of the state, so that the students can celebrate the festival of Holi with pomp. Schools will now open only on Monday, March 17.

Long weekend in Delhi and Rajasthan too

In Delhi, March 13 and 14 may be declared as official holidays for Holi. Schools are likely to remain closed till Sunday (March 16), especially in those schools which follow a five-day working system (Monday-Friday). In Rajasthan too, schools are expected to remain closed for three days. However, students should get official confirmation from their respective schools.

Two-day holiday in Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand

Schools will remain closed on March 13 and 14 in Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, there is a possibility of two-day holiday in Bihar and Jharkhand, so that students can celebrate this festival of colors with full enthusiasm. The Haryana government has also announced a holiday on Holi on March 13 and 14.
