According to the Economic Times report, Airtel and Reliance Jio can also include Starlink in their portfolio with easy payment and installation options. This can make Starlink service an affordable option for people in India.

Analysts emphasized that fiber and fixed wireless services will remain cheap options in the Indian market, but those people would like to take advantage of Starlink service where both these services are not available. EY India Market Leader and Telecom Sector Leader Prashant Singhal told the Economic Times that people will benefit from Starlink's partnership with local telecom companies.

Will Starlink be successful in India?

The cost of satellite consumer premises equipment is high but after joining hands with Airtel and Jio, it will help in reducing the price of Starlink devices. Starlink's deal with Airtel and Jio is beneficial for all parties. Prashant Singhal said that the success of satellite broadband in India depends on the right pricing.
