This film was released in 2000 and its none other than Mela. Apart from Aamir Twinkle Khanna Faizal Khan (Aamir Khans brother) Tinu Verma Johnny Lever and Tiku Talsania were seen in pivotal roles. The budget of the film was Rs 18 crore. But the film earned Rs 25 crores due to which it proved to be a hit but could not make a place in the hearts of the audience.
According to IMDb Mela is considered Aamir Khans worst film and he himself has said that this film was one of the biggest mistakes of his film career. Aamir said that the film was not what he wanted and he had disagreements with director Dharmesh Darshan on many things. Aamir was so upset for many days that he would even refuse to do the film and when the film was released Aamir was extremely disappointed with the final result.
Not only this according to Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukerji Aamir Khan would tremble and get very angry whenever the name of the film was taken. According to reports Twinkle Khanna also rejected this movie. When Akshay Kumar proposed to Twinkle Khanna for marriage she first refused because she wanted to focus on her career. But later she said that if this film did not become a hit at the box office she would say yes to Akshay.
