With cybercrime on the rise, the Indian government has launched the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) to help victims report fraud instantly. In FY25’s first three quarters, 13,384 cyber fraud cases were recorded, leading to losses of ₹107.21 crore.

How to Report Cyber Fraud?

If you fall victim to online fraud, you can file a complaint in two ways:
📞 Call Cyber Helpline 1930 – Get immediate assistance.
💻 Report Online at cybercrime.gov.in – File a complaint from home.

Step-by-Step Guide to File a Cyber Fraud Complaint Online

Step 1: Go to cybercrime.gov.in
Step 2: Click on ‘File a Complaint’
Step 3: Read the terms, accept, and proceed
Step 4: Choose ‘Report Other Cyber Crime’
Step 5: Click on ‘Citizen Login’ and enter your details
Step 6: Verify your identity with OTP and submit CAPTCHA
Step 7: Fill in incident details and upload evidence (screenshots, bank statements, messages, etc.)
Step 8: If you have details of the fraudster, provide them
Step 9: Review your complaint and click ‘Submit’
Step 10: Receive Complaint ID via email for tracking
