“Both parties have agreed to settle, and the divorce is underway,” the agency stated, as quoted by Korea Joongang Daily.
Lee, 43, married Cho, 52, in 2017. The couple has a seven-year-old son.
Cho, who operates several grilled-meat restaurant franchises, has been referred to as the “Little Baek Jong Won” due to his rapid business expansion and influence in the culinary scene, according to Pinkvilla.
He currently serves as CEO of his company and, as of May 2024, has an estimated net worth of 2.5 billion won (US$1.7 million).
Lee debuted as an actress in 2008. In addition to her acting career, she was a competitive boxer, winning multiple amateur competitions and qualifying for South Korea’s national women’s boxing team in 2013 in the under-48 kg category.
