The fourth instalment in the superhero franchise Krrish has been in the making for years now. Sometime back it was reported that Siddharth Anand has come on board as Krrish 4’s co-producer along with Rakesh Roshan who owns the IP.
It was also reported that Karan Malhotra of Agneepath, Brothers and Shamshera will be helming Krrish 4.
But now we hear that highly anticipated superhero film has hit a major roadblock.
Siddharth Anand has reportedly parted ways with the film and contrary to the ongoing rumours it is not because of the budget issues.

A source told Peepingmoon that Siddharth Anand opted out of Krrish 4 because he now wants to focus solely on directing King starring Shah Rukh Khan.
The source said, “Siddharth is now fully occupied as both producer and director of King, which is scheduled to begin filming in May and continue through the end of the year. This created a timeline clash with Krrish 4, which was tentatively slated to commence production by the end of 2025. Rather than delaying the project further, Siddharth and the Krrish 4 team mutually decided to part ways and focus on their respective projects. This decision is purely a matter of scheduling misalignment and not related to budgetary concerns. All reports doing the rounds regarding the budget are untrue.”
The report further stated that the representatives of both Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand confirmed the news of the two parting ways.

It was actually Sujoy Ghosh who was helming King and Siddharth Anand was the co-producer along with Shah Rukh Khan.
But, after Sujoy decided not to direct King since he couldn’t align himself with the larger than life scale of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer.
Despite Siddharth Anand’s exit, the source added that Krrish 4 is actively in development with Rakesh Roshan working on refining the script, “With Indian audiences now accustomed to Hollywood superhero films, Krrish 4 must meet international standards. But, since we cannot match Hollywood budgets, the challenge lies in delivering a world-class story within a realistic financial framework. Rakesh Ji has struck the balance, and the project now moves forward to lock in the technical team.”
As for the director Karan Malhotra, it is not certain if he is still on board as the director.
