In a significant step towards empowering young professionals, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has launched a mobile application for the PM Internship Scheme 2025. This initiative aims to provide over 1.25 lakh internship opportunities in the financial year 2024-25, with 327 companies already notifying more than 1.18 lakh internships. The scheme is designed to bridge the gap between industry requirements and the skillsets of young job seekers.

While launching the PM Internship mobile app, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman emphasized that:

✅ The scheme will help students understand job market trends and prepare them for real-world challenges.
Minister of State for Corporate Affairs, Harsh Malhotra, also highlighted that this initiative will give youth valuable practical experience, allowing them to contribute to India's economic growth.
The first round of the pilot project saw companies offering 1.27 lakh internships. The second round, which began in January 2025, has seen 1.18 lakh internship opportunities being listed by 327 companies.
🔹 IT & Software Sector Internships: The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has recently announced 3,100+ paid internships in the IT and software development sector.
🔹 Paid Internships: Each intern will receive ₹5,000 per month along with a one-time financial aid of ₹6,000.
🔹 Internship Certificate: Candidates who successfully complete 12 months will receive an official certificate.
