Former Delhi CM and Punjab CM Inaugurate Renovated Ludhiana Civil Hospital

Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), stated that the government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is performing commendably. He emphasized that the state government aims to provide comprehensive facilities, including enhanced medical services. His remarks came during the inauguration of the renovated Ludhiana Civil Hospital.
He acknowledged the relentless efforts of the state government and Rajya Sabha member Sanjeev Arora, which led to the transformation of the Ludhiana Civil Hospital. Numerous exemplary initiatives have been successfully implemented, showcasing a commitment to not only upgrade the hospital's infrastructure but also to deliver high-quality healthcare services.
The hospital now features advanced surgical technology and equipment, enabling efficient handling of complex orthopedic procedures. The modern design ensures a sterile environment, enhancing patient safety and promoting quicker recovery post-surgery. Additionally, all toilets in the OPD, emergency unit, and inpatient wards have been renovated.
Along with revitalizing the hospital's perimeter, repairs have been made to damaged flooring, addressing issues from previous years. To protect the infrastructure from leaks during the rainy season and other potential damages, the entire roof has been waterproofed using modern materials and techniques. Furthermore, dilapidated doors and windows have been replaced or repaired.
The hospital has replaced two old elevators that had been out of service for 12 years, and non-functional fans and lights have also been updated. The entire lighting system has been restored to ensure adequate illumination at night, enhancing patient safety. All dilapidated roads leading to the hospital have been reconstructed to facilitate smooth vehicle movement and pedestrian access.
