OpenAI is preparing to launch a new feature called ChatGPT Connectors soon, which will allow the chatbot to connect to other platforms. According to the report, the feature will be available to ChatGPT Teams subscribers and will initially be integrated with Google Drive and Slack. The tool aims to connect ChatGPT to the platform's internal data and answer users' queries based on the same knowledge.

What are ChatGPT Connectors?

According to a TechCrunch report, OpenAI is going to start beta testing of this new feature soon. ChatGPT Connectors will be an enterprise tool that connects to third-party databases and communication platforms, retrieves information from there, and answers users' questions.

According to the report, initially, it will work with Google Drive and Slack and can later be expanded to Microsoft SharePoint and Box. The feature will be able to access text data, including files, presentations, spreadsheets, and Slack conversations.

The feature will be powered by the GPT-4o model.
The feature will be based on the GPT-4o AI model, which will be developed by combining it with the "internal knowledge" of the connected platform. Once the feature is activated in a ChatGPT Teams Workspace, all users there will be able to take advantage of it.
