Hyundai Motor India says that from April 1, the price of all its models will increase by 3 percent. Sister company Kia India has also announced to increase the price of cars. However, according to all the models and their variants and trims, there can be a different increase in prices.
Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India Limited, says that prices have to be increased due to increase in the cost of raw materials. As far as the company could handled this cost, it has done so and tried to minimize its burden on customers. The increased price of cars will be effective from April 2025.
Hyundai Motors in India sells Creta, Creta EV, Venue, Exterited, I10 Neos, Aura, i20, Alkazar, Verna, Tuxon, Ionic 5 and corner models. Of this, Creta EV, Ionic 5 and Kona are the company's electric cars. The prices of all these can be seen by a maximum increase of 3 percent.
Apart from Hyundai, Honda Cars India has also announced to increase the price of its cars. However, it has not been clarified by the company how much it is going to increase the price of cars.
Earlier, the country's largest car company Maruti Suzuki India has said to increase the price of cars by up to 4 percent and Tata Motors passenger and commercial vehicles to 2 percent.
