The collection is attributed to the strategic planning and execution by the Property Tax Department. The staff from the head office and all four divisions are reported to have been working without taking any leave until the end of March. "They didn't even take leaves on Saturdays and Sundays. To prevent financial losses, the corporation initiated seizure actions against defaulters. Thirteen dedicated teams have been deployed for tax recovery, operating across all divisions under the leadership of the respective division officers," said an official.

To prevent revenue loss, the municipal corporation has intensified direct tax recovery actions in various areas, including CIDCO-transferred zones, Marble Market, Jawahar Industrial Estate, Taloja Industrial Estate, and Panvel Industrial Estate. Property tax defaulters who have already received seizure notices are now being issued warrant notices. "Additionally, attachment proceedings against defaulters have commenced, and it is crucial for them to take this matter seriously," added the official.
