West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is going on a visit to London. She will leave on 22 March and will return on 29 March. Chief Secretary Manoj Pant is also going on a foreign tour with the Chief Minister. For this reason, Mamta Banerjee has formed separate task force for administration and ministers to oversee the administrative functioning of the state for these eight days. He told which responsibility is there? He told which duties will be done when a special situation arises?
The Chief Minister said that she last went on a foreign tour in 2023. This journey is also very small. Describing the entire journey program, the Chief Minister said, "The journey will take two days. One day is Sunday. There are only four days of programs."
He said that in four days we have a program in the Indian Embassy, a business meeting. There is a program at the Indian High Commission on 24th. There is a program in BGBS on 25th. On 26th, there is a program in G2G and program in Oxford on 27th. I will return on 28th.
In a press conference in Nabann, the administrative head of the state announced that she was formed a special task force to consider the administrative issues of the state. The officers include Vivek Kumar, Prabhat Mishra, Nandini Chakraborty, while the police officers include Rajiv Kumar and Manoj Verma.
The Chief Minister said, "We are always in touch with the officials here. The Chief Secretary is also going with me, our phone will always be open. We can be contacted at any time. However, I am making a special task force with some officials. If any need is needed, they will be in regular contact with us. They will monitor every day. They will keep an eye on districts and blocks."
Similarly, Mamata Banerjee has formed a task force for ministers including five ministers - Chandima Bhattacharya, Shashi Panja, Sujit Basu, Arup Biswas and Firhad Hakim. The Chief Minister said, "Even in the case of ministers, in our absence, four-five ministers will sit in Nabann. They will work in contact with these officers. If needed, they will talk to us without deciding themselves."
Experts believe that the Chief Minister's visit to London is particularly meaningful. The state trade conference was held last month. From this point of view, the Chief Minister's foreign trip can be positive for the state.
