A judicial magistrate has issued an arrest warrant against actress Nazish Jahangir, directing the Defense C Police to arrest and produce her in court. The warrant was issued following a case filed by Aswad Haroon, a resident of the Defense area.
Jahangir, along with Sikandar Khan and other accused, faces charges of breach of trust, fraud, and issuing threats. According to police officials, the case was registered under provisions to fraud, and the prosecution has initiated legal action against the accused.
The court has ordered Nazish Jahangir and the other accused to be brought to court on March 22.
Earlier, A Lahore court, has canceled actress Nazish Jahangir’s interim bail in a fraud case filed by the Defence C police station.
The court rejected her bail because of lack of follow-up.
The fraud charge was brought by fellow actor Azan Aswad Haroon, who claimed Nazish had borrowed a car and Rs 2.5 million for two months but failed to return either after the deadline passed.
While Jahangir’s bail was canceled, her co-accused Sikandar saw his temporary bail extended until early October.
With high-profile figures involved, the case has drawn public attention to the legal struggles faced by celebrities.
Nazish also added that she was told to keep quiet by her father, as they were already dealing with the case on the legal side. He cautioned that if she spoke out, it could worsen the situation and inflict massive harm on her reputation.
The case of fraud was presented in a Lahore local court, where co-accused persons were present before the judge, and their interim bail was granted. Nazish’s bail was cancelled, though, as she did not appear in court.
