A toddler was spotted wandering the streets wearing only a nappy and holding a small ball - with the police called by concerned members of the public.

Police confirmed that a young boy, believed to be around two or three years old, was found by a member of the public in Pill Mill, Newport, just before 7am. Reports on social media claimed the child is non-verbal, and had been found wearing only nappies and holding a small ball.
