Dubai has long been known for its high standards in customer service—and the city is keen on upholding this reputation and appreciating employees who help in this regard.
The efforts of one employee have caught the attention of Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum after he received a recent report from .
In a tweet on X, Sheikh Mohammed, who is also Vice-President, Prime Minister of the UAE, praised the employee named Yousef Mohammed Abdullah who works in a Roads and Transport Authority's vehicle inspection and registration centre in Dubai's Al Qusais.
Sheikh Mohammed described Yousef as "a diligent young man, cheerful, proactive in serving people, and committed to completing their transactions efficiently."
He also hailed how customers at the centre expressed their gratitude for Yousef's attitude in helping them out.
Attached to the tweet were photos of Yousef at the centre while helping people and giving them advice.
Mystery shoppers in the UAE also point out to areas where government services in the UAE need enhancement. In December 2024, Sheikh Mohammed called out three managers who were found to have to their government offices - which is in violation of the emirate's culture of "open doors for the people".
The Ruler was sharing observations that were gathered from the government's mystery shoppers. A team of anonymous customers provided him with a report on all government departments.
