A family dispute over water led to the shooting death of a union minister’s nephew

In Parbatta village in the Bhagalpur district of Bihar, a fight between two nephews of Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai over tap water became violent on Thursday, killing one of them.

Around nine in the morning, the event happened.

When word spread that two brothers had been fired, a police squad hurried to the scene and began an investigation.

According to preliminary findings, his brother Jayjeet Yadav suffered grave injuries, and Vishwajeet Yadav passed away immediately.

Nityanand Rai’s brother-in-law, Raghunandan Yadav, is the father of Vidhwajeet and Jayjeet.

When Vishwajeet attacked Jayjeet with a pistol he had taken from home, the quarrel became more heated. A violent altercation ensued when Vishwajeet fired at Jayjeet, who was able to seize the pistol.

Vishwajeet was eventually shot in the head by Jayjeet. Jayjeet was sent to a private hospital in Bhagalpur by his relatives.

Jayjeet’s condition is reportedly serious after he was shot in the stomach.

Additionally, Vishwajeet’s mother was wounded in the hand.

In accordance with the pertinent portions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, a formal complaint has been filed at the Parbatta police station.

“Vishwajeet’s corpse has been retrieved and transported to Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem. In order to stop any escalation, we have also sent a police squad to the area. Additionally, we are gathering eyewitness accounts,” Prerna said.

“Police are awaiting Vishwajeet’s mother’s recovery. Prerna said, “She will shed more light on this incident.”
