Sainsbury's shoppers are "disapointed" as the supermarket confirms that one of its popular breakfast products has been discontinued from its stores. customers can no longer purchase Yeo Valley Organic Greek Recipe Peach & Raspberry Yoghurts from stores.
The product page on the retailer's website confirms that the item - which was priced at £1.35 a pot - is now "out of stock". The product in question was launched at Sainsbury's back in April 2024 and each pot contained 12g of protein, calcium, vitamins B12 and B2, and "nothing artificial".
The original range contined three flavours and these included: Lemon, Peach & Raspberry and Strawberry & Passion fruit. It is also gluten-free, organic, and suitable for vegetarians, which made it popular with groups who wanted more protein-rich snacks.
However, a customer service agent for Sainsbury's X - formerly - account confirmed the news to shoppers who had enquired about where the item had gone.
One shopper posted: "@sainsburys Hello, please can you tell me if the Yeo Valley organic Greek recipe peach & raspberry yoghurts will be coming back in stock? Not been able to get them since December & no other yoghurt is as good Thanks."

In response, the Sainsbury's account apologised for the stock issues and said they were looking into the matter. However, the next day and confirmed the news. The X post read: "We've heard back from the team. Unfortunately the Yeo Valley organic Greek recipe peach & raspberry yoghurts have been discontinued from our stores."
In response the fan of the dairy snack noted that they were "disappointed" to hear the news but thanks the customers service agent for looking into the matter. A Sainsbury's spokesperson also confirmed the news, issuing the statement: "We regularly review our ranges and this is based on a number of different factors,"
"Customers can pick up a range of strained yoghurts when shopping with us, including our new by Sainsbury’s Protein Fat Free Yoghurts which come in a variety of flavours and are sweetened with natural fruit."
The supermarket website also lists the Lemon Yeo Valley flavour and the Strawberry & Passion fruit flavour as "out of stock" although it has not officially confirmed whether these flavours have also been discontinued from its stores. The Yeo Valley product itself has not been discontinued by the brand - just by Sainsbury's. So you can still pick them up from other and retailers.
Currently, you can pick up a pot of strained peach and raspberry yoghurt for £1.45 from Abel & Cole. The retailer also sells the other two flavours although those are both either "sold out" or "out of stock" on its website as of writing.
Sainsbury's is not the first supermarket to discontinue a high protein product from shelves in recent years. Trends has shown a gradual increase in searches for "High protein diet" over the past five years.
