Esha Deol revealed her mother Hema Malini’s skin care tips.

Veteran actor and politician Hema Malini’s glowing skin at the age of 76 has caught the attention of many. With her vibrant charm and eye-catching appearances, the actress has proved herself as a timeless beauty. Recently, her daughter and actress Esha Deol has spilled the beans about Hema Malini’s beauty mantras. In an interview with Mamaraazzi, Esha shared some homemade skin care remedies that she picked up from her mother.

The actress revealed how with minimal efforts and ingredients, one can actually achieve a healthy, glowing and scare-free skin. Let’s dive into her beauty hacks here. Talking about a simple hack to remove tan, Esha Deol said, “During childhood, we used to put homemade chana paste a lot on our skin. I am not sure why, but our mother would always apply that to us.” She revealed how chana paste was a go-to skincare step in their childhood.

The actress further shed light on one more useful skin care hack, saying, “The other thing I used to see my mother do was apply glycerine and lemon on her hands and feet after coming home from shoots. So I asked her what this was for, and she told me it removes the tan because the lights on set are harsh and cause tanning. So, this is something I follow even today as glycerine and lemon help remove tan.”

Glycerine and lemon juice should be combined in a small basin, thoroughly stirred to form a smooth combination, and then stored in a bottle similar to Esha and Hema. Glycerin, sometimes referred to as glycerol, is a naturally occurring substance that is made from vegetable or animal fats, according to Healthline.com. The liquid is clear, colourless, odourless, syrupy, and sweet. As a humectant, glycerin draws moisture from the air and deeper layers of your skin to the outermost layer of your skin.

On the other hand, the inherent astringent and antibacterial qualities of lemon juice aid in brightening and even out skin tone. While glycerine helps retain moisture, soften skin, and lessen the black spots.
