According to SDPO Patna City, Atulesh Jha, Surbhi Raj, the director of Asia Hospital in Patna, was shot and killed on Saturday afternoon. When emergency personnel arrived on the scene at around 3:30 PM, they discovered Raj lying in a pool of blood in her office, unconscious and seriously hurt.
She was promptly taken to the intensive care unit (ICU), where medical professionals discovered many gunshot wounds. She was thereafter sent to Phulwari Sharif’s AIIMS, but she passed away from her wounds.
A police team was sent right away to the hospital to collect evidence and look into the circumstances surrounding the occurrence, according to Atulesh Jha. “At about 4:30 PM, the police were notified of the incident. We’re doing a thorough inquiry,” he said.
According to hospital witnesses quoted in the NDTV article, Raj was discovered by personnel after the conclusion of a trainee training session. After the lesson, we were instructed to remain where we were, but the trainers had already departed,” one student said. We decided to investigate after hearing a disturbance while we were laughing and conversing. We discovered Ma’am lying on the floor at that point.
According to another trainee, no one heard any gunshots; therefore, the assault went unnoticed. At least five shell casings were found by authorities at the murder site, suggesting a violent occurrence.
The shooter’s identity and the attack’s motivation are presently being investigated by authorities. Police are looking through CCTV video for any clues, and a forensic team and dog squad have been sent in to help with the investigation.
Regarding the sad incident, the hospital has not yet issued an official comment. We’re waiting for further information on the situation.
