Desk. BSNL has released a new warning for millions of mobile users of the country. The government telecom company has issued this warning to the users regarding the notice being closed in 24 hours for not updating the KYC. These days, mobile users are being sent a notice in the name of BSNL and TRAI, asking to update KYC details. Failure to do so is being warned to close the SIM in 24 hours.
BSNL has termed this claim as wrong and said that no such notice is sent by BSNL to the user. Such notice is completely fake and can incorrectly use the personal information of users in the name of updating scammers KYC. The government telecom company has issued a warning for the users, reposting this notice stated by the PIB fact check from its official handle.
Scammers are consistently adopting new ways to lime people. Users are threatened through calls, messages or e-mail and intimidation of them and many information including personal information like Aadhaar card details are collected. Then users are cheated by misusing these information. Apart from BSNL, Telecom Regulatory (TRAI) and Telecommunications Department (DOT) have also asked users to avoid such fake threats from time to time. No agency makes any call nor sends notice to shut down the mobile number of users.
