Nepotism always remains the most debatable topic in the industry with many believing that star kids have an easier path to success. While at some point it can be true but some star kids despite given tons of opportunities couldnt become successful actors. One of them is Armaan Kohli son of veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli. Born into a Punjabi family Armaan was always inclined towards acting since childhood. As a kid he used to visit his father on the sets smitten by the world of glamour. He starred as a child artist in films like Badle Ki Aag (1982) and Raaj Tilak (1984). When he turned 20 his father decided to launch him with Virodhi. Although the film was average but Armaans debut performance was recognised. After Virodhi the actor was offered 2 blockbusters. One was Rishi Kapoor and Divya Bharti starrer Deewana. According to reports Armaan had an argument with the makers and he backed out of the project. Another film was Abbas-Mastans Baazigar a love thriller which became a blockbuster. The actor was offered Shah Rukh Khans role but he rejected it as he wasnt in the favour of portraying a grey shade character at the beginning of his career. Hence rejecting these two superhits turned out to be the biggest mistake of his professional life as these opportunities could actually favoured his destiny. Armaan then went on to star in films like Dushman Zamaana (1992) Anaam (1992) Kohra (1993) Veer (1994) Juaari (1994) and Qahar (1997) all which turned out to be box office disasters. Then he starred in father Rajkumar Kohlis multi-starrer film Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani (2002) which starred superstars like Sunny Deol Akshay Kumar Suniel Shetty and Manisha Koirala. Despite star power the film turned out to be a commercial as well as critical disaster. A year later Armaan made a forgettable appearance in LOC Kargil (2003). For a while the actor wasnt seen in any of the films. Then in 2013 he made his comeback with Bigg Boss 6 as a contestant but gained a lot of negative limelight for his temperament issues. He was even arrested for alleged physical abuse with his co-participant Sofia Hayat but got released on bail a day later. Two years later Armaan was seen making a comeback in films with Salmans Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015). Since then the actor hasnt starred in any project. According to reports the actor is living his life away from the world of glitz and glam.
