Railways is seeking DPR for a 260-kilometer corridor in Bihar. Find out the speed, route, and other details about the Varanasi-Patna-Howrah high speed train

In Bihar, railways have begun developing a strategy to pass bullet trains at 350 km/h. A 260-kilometer elevated track will be constructed in five state districts for this purpose. For this, instructions have been given to write a thorough project report. The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited will shortly choose the agency.

The Varanasi-Patna-Howrah High-Speed Rail Corridor, which will span around 799.293 kilometers, includes this project. As part of this project, tracks will be built in Patna, Buxar, Ara, Jehanabad, and Gaya, among other districts of Bihar. There will be two stages to the completion of this project.

The High-Speed Rail Corridor between Varanasi, Patna, and Howrah

Elevated rails from Varanasi DDU, Ara, Buxar, Patna, and Gaya to Howrah will be built in the first phase. Tracks from Delhi to Varanasi will be built in the second phase.

In the Patna district, an elevated track of 60.9 kilometers in length would be constructed, requiring 135.06 hectares of land.

For this project, the land purchase procedure has already started. In the Patna district, the land of 58 villages has been recognized. Landowners in metropolitan areas will get double the compensation, while those in rural regions would receive four times the circular rate.

High-Speed Train Varanasi-Patna-Howrah: Time, Speed, and Important Features

The bullet train will go at 350 km/h.  The trip from Varanasi to Howrah by rail will take three and a half to four hours.

This train will be equipped with a variety of contemporary amenities. from cozy seats to automated doors. A sufficient number of CCTV cameras will be placed in each bunky to guarantee the security of the train’s occupants. In keeping with Vande Bharat, passengers will be served delectable meals.
