In fact, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will present the first budget of the BJP government in Delhi after 27 years on Tuesday i.e. today. He has the charge of Finance Ministry. Participating in the 'Kheer' function held in the assembly premises, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that such a ceremony was organized for the first time in the history of Delhi Assembly.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP is presenting the budget of Delhi after 27 years. Just as Lord Ram returned to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile, similarly we have returned after 27 years. On this occasion, we offered Kheer to Lord Rama, which symbolizes the sweetness of Delhi's development.
He also said that all sections of the society have been invited to receive prasad. The CM said that the previous government created bitterness by promoting conflict between the Center and the Delhi government. Under the government with double engine, this budget will pave the way for a new chapter of development in Delhi. We will work together with the central government to overcome every suffering and problem of Delhi. He said that under the leadership of PM Modi, Delhi will taste the sweet taste of development.
At the same time, Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Atishi criticized Rekha Gupta government for not presenting the Economic Survey a day before the budget was presented. Taking a sarcasm at the Kheer ceremony organized by the BJP at the beginning of the budget session, he said, "The budget of Delhi can be made on the basis of the data of the economy, not by making kheer."
