To get you in the mood for developer and cookbook author Jane Dunn has shared her delectable take on bread and butter pudding. Using the Easter staple - hot cross buns - Jane rustles up a pudding fit for an Easter Sunday feast.
In a video from last month, Jane demonstrated just how easy the pudding is. Jane said: "My hot cross bun pudding is without a doubt one of my favourite things to make in the world." While Jane used her own homemade hot cross buns, you won't need to, if you want to make the process quicker.
Her recommendation would be to use either chocolate or salted caramel-flavoured buns, but Jane told people to "go for it" with the flavours.
She said: "This is just an easy homemade way of making something delicious - and I just can't get over how good it is."
The recipe is also a great way to use leftover or nearly stale hot cross buns, so nothing has to go to waste.
Jane's recipe video has been viewed over a massive 360,300 times, receiving 7,500 likes and 52.

Hot Cross Bun PuddingIngredients
Method
Preheat your oven to 180ºc/160º (fan) and grease a large ceramic/glass baking dish/tray. It should fit six to eight hot cross buns sat next to each other.
Halve your hot cross buns like you would to toast them, and put a few chunks of chocolate in the middle and sandwich again. Lay all your hot cross buns next to each other in the dish.
In a bowl, whisk together the milk, double cream, eggs, sugar and vanilla until combined. Pour over the hot cross buns, and sprinkle over the chocolate chips.
Bake in the oven for 40 minutes, and then remove and leave to cool for ten minutes before eating!
