Jharkhand JSSC CGL paper leak case 8 arrested including 5 IRB jawans, Gorakhpur master mind absconding

The State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested eight people, including five soldiers of the Reserve Battalion (IRB) in the recruitment examination conducted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) in the recruitment examination conducted in September last year. However, the CID has said that no direct or physical evidence of the main paper leak has been found so far.

According to a CID statement, during the investigation, it was found out by the members of a gang in the name of providing paper to the participants before the examination, which spread rumors and doubts about the paper leaking among the people. The statement said that eight arrested people are associated with this gang.

Investigation of paper leak case

In fact, the CID, who is investigating the paper leak case of CGL exam of Jharkhand State Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), has arrested eight suspects. The arrested accused include five jawans of Indian Reserve Battalion-8 Godda of Jharkhand Police, a jawan of Assam Rifle, a young man of home defense duct and nephew of Assam Rifle jawan. The alleged mastermind of the paper leak case is a resident of Gorakhpur, who is being searched.

Case of money collection

The CID said that on 21 and 22 September 2024, JSSC CGL examination was conducted in three shifts in all districts of the state. In the CGL exam paper, the case of alleged fraud and the extortion of money came to light in the name of giving a question paper by cheating and confusing the candidates of CGL examination.

The CID lodged an FIR on January 1. In the course of research, it was found that before the examination, members of a gang have collected money in the name of giving CGL questions to the candidates. In this, rumors and fragrances regarding the CGL paper leak in the common man started.

CID arrested them

  • Kundan Kumar alias Mantu: He hails from village Kadiahi in Obra police station area of ​​Aurangabad district of Bihar. This soldier is number 119, which is posted at IRB-8 headquarters Godda.
  • Robin Kumar: He is a resident of village Kherwani in Dhanwar police station area of ​​Giridih district of Jharkhand. This soldier is number 105 who is a young man of IRB-8 Godda. Currently it was deputed in the Badad picket in Latehar's canopy.
  • Akhilesh Kumar: He is a resident of the village of Satgawan police station area of ​​Koderma district of Jharkhand. This soldier is number 578, who is a soldier of IRB-8 Godda. Currently it was deputed in the Badad picket in Latehar's canopy.
  • Gaurav Kumar: Village Khukti of Hunterganj police station area of ​​Chatra district of Jharkhand is a resident of Khukwal Khurd. This soldier is number 138, who is a young man of IRB-8 Godda. Currently it was deputed in the Badad picket in Latehar's canopy.
  • Abhilash Kumar: He is a resident of village Pihra in Gawan police station area of ​​Giridih district of Jharkhand. This soldier is number 530, who is a young man of IRB-8 Godda. Currently it was deputed in the Humbu picket of Herange police station area of ​​Latehar.
  • Ram Niwas Rai: The village of Jamhor police station area of ​​Aurangabad district of Bihar is a resident of Gam Nirmanhi. This soldier is number 5012553, who is a young man of Assam rifle. Currently he was deputed in Ludhiana, Punjab.
  • Residence Kumar Rai: The village of Jamhor police station area of ​​Aurangabad district of Bihar is a resident of outspoken village. This is the home guard number 3858 which was posted in Ramgarh district.
  • Kaviraj aka Motu: The village of Jamhor police station area of ​​Aurangabad district of Bihar is a resident of outspoken village. This is the nephew of Ram Niwas Rai, a soldier of Assam Rifle.
