Indians and their ‘absence of civic sense’ were back in discussions as a rather embarrassing picture was recently shared on social media, which was quick to go viral mostly over it triggering several netizens. The picture in question was shared on Reddit, showing Gutka stains, empty plastic bottles, empty packets of snacks and more litter- casually lying in the otherwise beautiful snow at a place which was allegedly 9,000 feet above sea level. The Redditor further pointed out that there were hardly ‘100 tourists at the spot, yet the place was a mess and an embarrassment for many. The post began to circulate on social media, soon after getting shared. Most netizens expressed their frustration over such behaviour, while some called for stricter rules against such matters.
Times Now could not confirm the exact location and the authenticity of the post.
“At 9,000 feet above sea level, there are hardly 100 tourists, yet there is Gutka & Litter in the snow,” the post read. “What's stopping Indian tourists from picking up their trash?” the post further read.
The post was shared on Reddit by the handle ‘obliveris. ’ The post was shared four days ago and pulled more than 2K upvotes from people.

“I saw the same thing on the Tungnath Trail recently. Liquor bottles, Gutka packets and orange spits on white snow. Such people need belt treatment,” a user said.
