Amitabh Bachchan narrated his and Jaya Bachchans love story in Simi Garewals chat show Rendezvous. He had told how he was impressed when he saw Jayas photo on the cover page of a magazine. Big B had revealed that he liked Jayas eyes a lot. Jaya had seen Amitabh Bachchan for the first time in 1970 at the Pune Film Institute and was impressed by his personality.
During a conversation with her granddaughter Navya Nanda on her podcast What The Hell Navya Jaya Bachan revealed that Big B wanted Jaya not to do regular work after marriage. She further revealed that they were planning to get married in October assuming that her workload would be minimal. However Amitabh also told his wife to pick selective films and pick the right script and the right people.
