Why Decreasing Sperm Count: When a woman does not have a child, often the notion is made in the society that women are not capable of having a child. But when she goes to the doctor, he first asks to get the man's sperm tested. Even educated men hesitate to get this test done, but when it has to be done, it is found that both the number and quality of sperm are weak, that is why a child is not being born. This trend is not with any one woman, but in most cases there is a decrease in the sperm of men. The rough matter is that nowadays most men have the problem of infertility. After all, what is the reason for this, let's know about it.
Reasons for infertility in men
Dr. Srinath, Consultant Urologist, Asha Hospital and Research Center, Bangalore, told our partner website Moneycontrol that the biggest reason for infertility in men in today's generation is bad lifestyle, smoking, alcohol habit and pollution. Due to wrong eating habits, most people are gaining weight. Obesity contributes greatly in spoiling the quality of men's sperm. The habit of drinking alcohol and cigarettes reduces the number of sperm. Stress and less sleep are also a big reason for crushing sperm. Nowadays most of the youth often remain under stress. Be it a matter of studies or career. There is irritation everywhere due to which stress is increasing. Youth are unable to manage it. On the other hand, pollution and radiation are also contributing greatly in weakening the quality of sperm. At the same time, the decision to have a child late also weakens the sperm because as the age increases, the number and quality of sperm weakens.
Medical and genetic reasons:
Sometimes some diseases are also the cause of male infertility. For example, varicocele is a disease that occurs in the testicles of men in which the tube that sends the sperm out gets swollen. Due to this, the temperature of the testicles increases, which harms the health of the sperm. On the other hand, if the testosterone level is low, there is a thyroid disease or there is a problem in the pituitary gland in the brain, then the sperm can also get spoiled. Apart from this, due to some sexual infections like mumps, chlamydia, gonorrhoea and TB, men are not able to have a child. Some people cannot have a child due to family disease.
What to do to make sperm healthy?
Dr. Deepika Agarwal, Gynecologist at CK Birla Hospital, says that to make sperm healthy, one should consume more of zinc, selenium, folic acid, omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants in the diet. For this, consume various types of seeds, fruits, fatty fish, nuts, green leafy vegetables, pomegranate, watermelon etc. After this, regular exercise is also necessary. Avoid going to places where there is high pollution and control stress at all costs. Too much stress will spoil the sperm at all costs. Along with this, do not wear tight underwear. Do not let there be a feeling of too much heat. Do not work with a laptop on your lap.
