Tom Jones has shared a heartfelt insight into his life after losing his , Linda, revealing he keeps her ashes in a special place in his home. The legendary singer, known for hits like 'It's Not Unusual', found himself living alone for the first time in over 50 years following Linda's passing in 2016.
In 2021, resided in a London flat with a view of the London Eye, having moved back from Los Angeles under the condition that his son could find him a place with a view of "the wheel". He made sure to bring Linda's memory with him, keeping her ashes close by.
During a Zoom chat with journalist Kate Mossman, who recounted the conversation in her new book, coach Tom pointed out the location of his wife's ashes.

She told The Times: "She's in my bedroom, in a beautiful box. A modern box with a modern design on it, which I'm sure she would like. Whatever the wife wants!"
Linda, whose real name was Melinda Trenchard, sadly died after a fight with lung . At the time, a statement on Tom's website announced her peaceful passing in the presence of her family and Tom.
The year before her death, Tom expressed his deep concerns for Linda in his autobiography, 'Over the Top and Back: The Autobiography', particularly during a "major operation" she faced, fearing he might lose her then, reports .
He penned: "Linda was ill a while ago and needed surgery. And she got through it. But it was a major operation, and I had to wonder whether I was going to lose her. I was as worried as I have ever been."
Reflecting on the profound influence Linda has had over his life, he added: "It came home to me how she's been part of me through my whole adult life.
"Even though I've toured for years and been away for months, she has always been there. And if she weren't...well, surely that's it for me."
Their story began in Treforest, Pontypridd, where they first met at just 12 at a local phone box, sparking off their young romance when they started dating at 15 years old. Welsh rainbows playing cupid provided the shelter that brought them together.
Reminiscing in an earlier interview with the , Tom let slip that his heart had belonged to Linda since he was a lad of 12, recalling times spent watching her walk past while he lay ill with tuberculosis.
Sealing their love in youth, the pair married in 1957, both sweet sixteen, and in a nostalgic nod to their beginnings, even shipped that very same phone box to their Los Angeles pad from Wales.
