Mumbai: A man was attacked with a knife at Mohammad Hotel in Behram Nagar in Mumbai's Bandra East, on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. The incident, captured on video, has since gone viral on social media. The accused was arrested immediately, according to the police
A video that has gone viral on the internet shows the exact moments when the man was stabbed by another individual in the hotel. The accused can be seen repeatedly attacking the victim with the knife in the busy hotel. Within moments, the staff and other customers jump in to rescue the victim.
Accused Arrested, Probe Underway
According to Manish Kanwaliya, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 8), a case has been registered at Nirmalnagar police station under Sections 118(2), 351(2) and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The accused has been arrested and further investigation is underway.
Cops have confirmed that there has been no fatality or critical injury in the incident. The victim sustained an injury below the shoulder and is in stable condition.
