Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is known for making predictions about the future. Now, he has once again made a shocking forecast about what lies ahead.
Bill Gates predicts that in the next decade, Artificial Intelligence (AI) will advance so much that humans will no longer be needed for most tasks.
In an interview, he stated that currently, we rely on human experts in fields like medicine and education. However, within the next ten years, AI technology will take over the roles of doctors and teachers.
In simple terms, the world is about to enter a new era where human expertise will no longer be essential in many fields.
In a previous interview in February, Gates predicted that AI advancements will soon be accessible to everyone and will impact almost every aspect of our lives. He also mentioned that AI and virtual assistants will significantly improve disease diagnosis. “This is happening very fast, and to some extent, it is quite frightening because of its rapid pace,” he said.
This is not the first time Bill Gates has expressed excitement about AI technology. Back in September 2024, he predicted that AI will dramatically accelerate progress in education and healthcare. “This is the first technology that is advancing faster than even experts expected,” he said. However, he also warned that AI could impact jobs in various industries.
According to Gates, AI will have an even bigger impact than computers, phones, and the internet, calling it the most significant technological advancement of his lifetime.
Gates further predicted that within a decade, industries like education and healthcare will undergo massive changes. He believes that AI will lead to shorter workweeks and reduce the need for traditional full-time jobs. “In the long run, jobs won’t be as important, and we believe that’s a good thing,” he concluded.
