Campa Cola vs Coca-Cola PepsiCo: The Indian soft drink market is witnessing a major battle between global giants Coca-Cola and PepsiCo and Mukesh Ambani’s Campa Cola as these companies have introduced a new line of products in the Rs 10 price range. In February Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL) launched Campa Cola in the UAE marking RCPL’s first entry into the United Arab Emirates.
Notably Mukesh Ambani’s company acquired Campa Cola in 2022 and reintroduced it in 2023.
Campa Cola
A year after its launch by Reliance Industries Campa Cola is facing renewed competition from Coca-Cola and PepsiCo. To counter Campa Colas Rs 10 price point Coca-Cola and PepsiCo have introduced their diet and light versions—Thums Up X Force Coke Zero Sprite Zero and Pepsi No-Sugar—at the same price. This marks the first time the Indian branches of these companies have launched products at this price level.
As per a report from ICRIER the soft drink market of India was estimated Rs 67100 crore in 2019. It is expected to touch Rs 1.47 trillion by the year 2030. Hence both local and global brands are now trying to capture the biggest portion of the beverage market by introducing more products.
Rs 10 Price War Between Major Giants
Reliances entry into the Rs 10 beverage market isnt limited to Campa. The company also launched the Rs 10 sports drink Spinner in February 2024 in collaboration with Muttiah Muralitharan and RasKik Gluco Energy in January 2025 priced at Rs 10 per serving.
Notably the entry of global giants - Coca Cola and PepsiCo – in Rs 10 price range suggests their strategy of avoiding price cuts on their big brands. The multinational drinks makers are in a wait-and-watch mode on whether to reduce prices upfront nationally” Economic Times quoted a senior beverage industry insider.
No-Sugar Pepsi
PepsiCo has introduced a smaller 200ml bottle of its sugar-free Pepsi priced at 10 rupees. This launch initially in major markets like Andhra Pradesh coincides with Campas 2023 entry into the same state.
