Bollywood megastar Salman Khan's upcoming action drama, Sikandar, is set for a monumental release this Eid.

The film which premieres on March 30, 2025, across 16,787 screens nationwide, has been raking in the big bucks at the domestic box office as the clock ticks down to its big release.

A report on sacnilk states that Sikandar has earned an estimated Rs 5.66 crore gross from its 2D shows, and an additional Rs 48.9 lakh from IMAX 2D shows. The film's total collection stands at around Rs 5.71 crore.

However, the film's all-time box office numbers are estimated to be around Rs 12.53 crore while taking blocked seats into account.

The film's widespread release strategy and the fervent response to its promotional content suggest that Sikandar is well-positioned to make a significant impact at the box office. Meanwhile, those keeping up with the movie's release, will know that it is set to share its box office numbers with the Mohanlal starrer 'L2: Empuraan'. Speaking about sharing the box office business with the film, Salman said in a conversation with the media, "I love Mohanlal sir as an actor. Prithviraj is directing it, and I know that it’s going to be an excellent film."

Ahead of the film's release, Salman also shared that while films of stars like Rajinikanth , Chiranjeevi, Suriya, and Ram Charan perform well in the Hindi belt, the audiences in the south region don't watch Bollywood movies and its stars in theatres. The actor said, "When my film is released there, it will not get the numbers because their fan following is very strong. I'll be on the street, and they will say, 'Bhai, Bhai', but they will not go to the theatres. We've accepted them (south stars) here, and their films do well because we go and see them, like those of Rajinikanth garu or Chiranjeevi garu or Suriya or Ram Charan. But their fans do not go and see our films."

Internationally, Sikandar has reportedly witnessed unprecedented enthusiasm. Advance bookings in foreign countries, reportedly saw tickets selling out within hours. The same holds true for Indian cinemas where netizens pointed out that the film's tickets are being sold for prices between Rs 700 and Rs 2,100.

In the lead-up to the release, the filmmakers unveiled the romantic track "Hum Aapke Bina," featuring Salman and leading lady Rashmika Mandanna. Sung by Arijit Singh, composed by Pritam, and penned by Sameer, the song has resonated with audiences.

Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, Sikandar boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi , and Prateik Babbar.
