Mohanlal apologizes
Malayalam Superstar has apologized by writing posts on social media. The actor wrote- I know some political and social issues shown in the second part of the 'Lucifer' franchise have hurt many of my fans. Being an artist, it is my duty to ensure that no film of mine spreads any political movement, ideology or hatred towards the religious community.
“That's why I and the Emohan team are honest apologizing for this pain to our fans. We understand that all of us are working behind the film. We all together have decided that the controversial issues will be removed from the film. For the last four decades, I have lived my career like any one of you. Your love and faith is not bigger than you.
Politics on disputed scenes
Recently, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan attended its screening amid controversy. He supported Emopuran's team and said that freedom of expression should be preserved at all costs. At the same time, BJP's Kerala State Secretary S Suresh said that there is no political issue in Emoran. Kerala BJP will not interfere in this.
