Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wish everyone a happy Eid

Patna, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar greeted the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and took part in the festivities at Patna’s historic Gandhi Maidan on Monday.

He participated in the festivities while wearing traditional clothing, exemplifying the attitude of peace and solidarity throughout the community.

Wearing the traditional Eid headgear worn by Muslims, the Chief Minister came to Gandhi Maidan early in the morning. In the company of Ashok Choudhary, the Minister of Rural Works, he saw hundreds of worshippers performing Namaz at 7:30 a.m.

Kumar expressed his sincere wishes to the people of Bihar and the whole country while raising his hands in prayer.

“We extend our warmest greetings and best wishes on this Eid to the citizens of the state and the nation, particularly our Muslim brothers and sisters. May God bless each and every one of us and provide Bihar joy, tranquility, and prosperity,” Kumar said.

Arif Mohammad Khan, the governor of Bihar, also posted on X to offer his greetings. He emphasized in his address the importance of Eid in promoting societal cohesion and its ideals.

“I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes on this Eid-ul-Fitr to all of my fellow citizens and Bihar residents. This celebration spreads the virtues of self-control, selflessness, and giving. I wish that everyone’s life is filled with joy, harmony, and wealth this Eid. On this occasion, let us commit to creating a society that is inclusive, peaceful, and civilized,” Khan added.

Numerous security precautions have been put in place by the Bihar Police to guarantee a calm and safe Eid. To keep the peace and stop any undesirable situations, more than 425 judges have been assigned around Patna, while police officers are positioned at strategic points, junctions, and mosques.

Bihar’s Eid festivities are a reflection of the state’s longstanding commitment to religious peace.
