Sunrisers Hyderabad started the IPL with a bang. But after winning the first match, it lost two consecutive matches. Amidst all this, the team has got into a new trouble. Sunrisers Hyderabad has sought help from BCCI and IPL Governing Council to stop the continuous 'blackmailing' of the Hyderabad Cricket Association. However, the state association has rejected these allegations of the franchise. Sunrisers said in an email to the top officials of BCCI that if HCA continues to threaten in this way, especially for free passes, then they can consider holding their home matches in another state.

A top official of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) wrote, 'I am writing this letter expressing concern over the continuous blackmailing of HCA regarding the Sunrisers Hyderabad team. This is happening repeatedly and I think now BCCI and IPL Governing Council should take immediate action. The official said that the franchise needs clarity regarding the allocation of free passes to the association. Usually, five percent of the total tickets are given.

'Treasurer and Secretary have been constantly threatening Sunrisers Hyderabad management'

He said, 'We want clarity on the free tickets given to HCA by the franchise. HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao, Treasurer and Secretary has been constantly threatening Sunrisers Hyderabad management. And are saying that if their demands are not met, they will not allow IPL matches to be held in Hyderabad.' The team official said that if the situation does not change, they can think of organizing Sunrisers matches in another state.

'This issue was raised last year as well'
The official further said, 'This is a misuse of power. This issue was raised last year as well and this time too the situation is the same. If the situation remains the same, then Sunrisers matches can be organized in another state.' On the other hand, HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao said in a circular, 'HCA has not received any official email from Sunrisers management. There is no truth in this news going on social media. If the email has indeed been received, then what is the conspiracy behind leaking the information through an unknown email instead of the official email of HCA or Sunrisers? This is a conspiracy by some people to tarnish the image of HCA and Sunrisers.
