A beloved coming-of-age series is set to grace our screens for one last summer fling.

The much-anticipated third season of The Summer I Turned Pretty will drop this July, bringing to life the final instalment of Jenny Han's celebrated Young Adult trilogy with the novel We'll Always Have Summer as its basis.

In the concluding 11 episodes, we leap forward in time to find Isabel 'Belly' Conklin (portrayed by Lola Tung) navigating college life and her ongoing romance with Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno).

Yet, viewers can expect a rollercoaster of emotions as Belly previously chose Jeremiah over his brother Conrad (Christopher Briney), who has been absent, pursuing a medical degree at Stanford.

Entertainment Weekly has today (Monday, 31st March) teased fans with first-look images showcasing sun-drenched gatherings and nostalgic flashbacks of Belly, Jeremiah, and their circle of friends.

The ultimate choice between the brothers remains shrouded in secrecy, but author Han has teased an ending that will catch fans off guard.

"There are going to be surprises," she teases. "There are the things that they know and then there are things they think they know, and then there's going to be, hopefully, things that surprise them."

With millions of followers eagerly awaiting the final chapter of Belly's journey, especially after a two-year hiatus since the second season concluded in 2023, the anticipation is palpable.

TV lovers have been raving about The Summer I Turned Pretty, with one Google reviewer saying: "This is the best show I have watched in a long time. I literally stayed up all night to finish.

Another viewer said: "The Summer I Turned Pretty is a heartwarming and nostalgic coming-of-age series that perfectly captures the magic of first love, family bonds, and the bittersweetness of growing up.

"Lola Tung shines as Belly, navigating a charming yet emotional love triangle with the Fisher brothers, played by Christopher Briney and Gavin Casalegno. The stunning beachside cinematography, paired with a beautifully curated soundtrack featuring artists like Taylor Swift, enhances the show's dreamy and emotional atmosphere.
