Even before the start of the Americas GP race yesterday, chaos took over the grid, and Fabio Quartararo did not hold back in his criticism of the procedures, where the indecision and confusion were such that he considered what he saw to be a mess.

The Yamaha rider recalled the moment and recounted how he experienced it from his bike: ‘For me, it was a complete mess. At one point, I thought… Initially, I didn’t see Marc [Márquez] well. I saw someone. I thought he had forgotten his chest protector or something. And then I saw everyone running. I didn’t see anyone with… I didn’t even know if it was possible to do that, you know?’.

Quartararo was confused by the rules applied: ‘I don’t know exactly what the rule is, but if the start was delayed, it’s for a reason. I was on my bike and I was waiting’.

This situation was just another chapter in a race to forget for the Yamaha rider, who had previously suffered an inexplicable crash on the sighting lap and had to use his reserve bike, configured completely differently, in addition to facing electronic problems throughout the race.
