Tel Aviv: On suspicion of robbing and extorting males because of their sexual orientation, three individuals were taken into custody. According to the police investigation, the suspects extorted thousands of shekels from the victims and used “severe violence” in many instances.
Following an undercover investigation into a case of violence and severe extortion of individuals seeking to meet other men via social media and dating apps, police officers from the Acre station (near Haifa) made the arrests.
According to the police, their investigation revealed that the three suspects committed “severe violence” on multiple occasions and in multiple cases, robbing victims of their cell phones, attacking them with clubs and other assault weapons, and extorting thousands of shekels from them while threatening them.
