Toll Price Hike 2025: Now you will have to loosen your pocket to travel on highways and expressways. NHAI has increased the toll charges of highways and expressways by 5 percent across the country.

New Toll Charges: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has increased the toll charges of highways and expressways operated across the country by an average of 4 to 5 percent, the reason for this was to adjust the rising cost due to inflation.

A senior official said that this adjustment is part of the annual review of NHAI, which aligns toll rates with inflation based on the Wholesale Price Index and the additional income will help highway maintenance and expansion projects.

According to the notification of NHAI...

The one-way toll for cars and jeeps going from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway will now increase from Rs 165 to Rs 170.

The toll for Ghaziabad to Meerut will increase from Rs 70 to Rs 75.

Light commercial vehicles and buses will have to pay Rs 275 per trip on this route, while trucks will have to pay Rs 580.

The toll for cars at the Chhijarsi toll plaza on NH-9 will increase from Rs 170 to Rs 175, light commercial vehicles will have to pay Rs 280 while buses and trucks will have to pay Rs 590.

Highways passing through Lucknow-

Motorists travelling on highways passing through Lucknow, including those connecting the state capital to Kanpur, Ayodhya, Rae Bareli and Barabanki, will have to pay Rs 5 to 10 extra per trip for light vehicles.

Heavy vehicles will have to pay Rs 20 to Rs 25 extra.

Additionally, the price of a monthly pass for cars will now increase from Rs 930 to Rs 950.

For cabs, the amount will increase from Rs 1225 to Rs 1255.

The one-way toll for light motor vehicles and minibuses will increase from Rs 120 to Rs 125.

Delhi-Jaipur Highway

The toll for private cars and jeeps at the Kherki Daula toll plaza on the Delhi-Jaipur highway will remain the same, but heavy vehicles will have to pay Rs 5 per trip.

The price of a monthly pass for cars will now increase from Rs 930 to Rs 950 and for commercial cars and jeeps, the amount will increase from Rs 1225 to Rs 1255.

The single-trip toll for light motor vehicles and minibusses will increase from Rs 120 to Rs 125.

There are about 855 plazas on India's national highway network, of which 675 are funded by the government, while about 180 plazas are managed by private operators.
