For the right to run two teams in the third season of the T20 Mumbai League, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has announced the publication of a tender document, asking proposals from qualified and interested companies.
The third season of the T20 Mumbai League will begin on May 27 after a six-year break. The North Mumbai Panthers, ARCS Andheri, Triumph Knights Mumbai North East, Namo Bandra Blasters, Eagle Thane Strikers, Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs, and two new teams will be among the eight teams that will be present.
After making a non-refundable payment of Rs 1 lakh by demand draft made payable to the Mumbai Cricket Association, interested and qualified parties may pick up the bid paperwork at the MCA headquarters at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The MCA announcement said that the papers will be accessible for pickup between 11 AM and 6 PM on April 1 through April 7.
“The T20 Mumbai League has been essential in spotting, nurturing, and elevating cricket players at the local level. In addition to providing a platform for up-and-coming athletes, the league has made a substantial contribution to the expansion of the sport in Mumbai.
“We view this as a chance to further solidify the league’s heritage as we welcome new franchise owners. Their participation will be crucial in forming the T20 Mumbai League’s future, contributing new ideas and funding that will improve chances for cricket players, stakeholders, and supporters. We’re excited to talk to prospective bidders who have similar goals for the league’s future,” said MCA Secretary Abhay Hadap.
Since its creation in 2018, the T20 Mumbai League has grown to become one of India’s top franchise-based domestic T20 tournaments, offering gifted cricket players a vibrant stage. Players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube, Tushar Deshpande, and Shams Mulani have emerged as a result of it; they have performed very well and have since advanced to higher levels of the game.
