star Charlie Dimmock reunited with her former co-star last Christmas for a festive edition of his renowned show, Love Your Weekend With . They haven't worked together for the past two decades, since their last ever episode of Ground Force back in 2005, and as they reminisced over fond filming moments, the bond between them seemed as strong as ever.
She didn't hesitate to update him on her love life - but jokily confessed that she is a "grumpy old cow" who hasn't changed her stance on marriage. Asked by the legendary TV gardener whether she was still "alone and happy on her own", she answered: "Oh yes! The older I get, the happier I get being on my own." She then playfully described herself as a "grumpy cow", before cautioning Alan not to agree with her.
He shot back: "I wouldn't dream [of it]", before Garden Rescue star Charlie candidly went on to confess that festive occasions for her are all about time spent with non-romantic loved ones.
"I don't believe people anyone goes off and does bizarre, weird things at Christmas," she declared, explaining: "At the end of the day, you want to be with your mates and your family and friends."
Back in 2014, despite still being in her 40s at the time, Charlie had confessed that she already pictured the rest of her life as a solo woman.
She insisted to the Daily Mail: "I'm too old now, certainly too old for marriage, there's no point.
"I can't see anything happening when it comes to romance; somebody would have to really bowl me over. I am quite content without a man in my life."
Previously, she enjoyed a relationship with fellow green-fingered garden guru John Mushet - a viticulturist whom she met during her travelling days of the 1990s in New Zealand.
However, the 13-year romance ground to a brutal halt after her affair with Ground Force microphone technician Andy Simmons, which she now regrets, came to light.
She had also gone on to date another BBC sound technician, Barry Smith, in the early 2000s.
Nowadays, she continues to reiterate that she is "selfish" and prefers her own company, while she once told the Independent: "Even sharing a house with someone would be a no for me."
